Day 273 - Bird Bowl XIX
Every year I try to make it a point to go to at least one high school football game and support my old high school. I wish the game would of actually been close to make it interesting but the Cardinals decided to make it an extreme blowout. I got to sleep in today and get some rest from that long day I had yesterday. I headed out to Lake Palestine to meet up with my old friend Katie for her wedding. Today started out as planned definitely got out of control quickly. I had planned on leaving Harlingen at noon for my drive to Tyler but had a few setbacks and didn’t get out on the road till 3:30pm. Today started out extremely early with waking up with a sore throat that was so bad I couldn’t stand it. I slept walked to the kitchen and made a home remedy that never fails me. I spent most of today trying to get ahold of a few contacts that were suppose to meet me for meetings but canceled. It was so weird that people take time off on Labor Day, you would think they work harder. I spent most of the day hanging out with my family and running around with them. As most of my weekends have been slowly spent in South Texas, this one is definitely different. After spending last night out at the Art Walk in McAllen, I headed to the Pharr Events Center to catch a few friends opening up for Paul Van Dyk. The production for it all was amazing and it ended up being a great night spent with a few friends.

I had been looking forward to this weekend getting to spend it in McAllen. Tonight was Art Walk and I met up with Katie and Lisa to hang out at Roosevelt’s for a few drinks.
