Day 245 - Sunsets and Chats

Today was one of those days that nothing really happened but still was great. I started out getting to sleep in as long as I could. Then got my laundry together and headed down to Harlingen to visit my parents. They surprised me with asking if I’d like to go to dinner at the island and I couldn’t turn that down. I enjoyed some great seafood and watched the sunset on the bay. When I got home, I ended up having a video chat with my friend Gabriella about a shoot we are planning on doing tomorrow. It really helps to be able to talk and see each other so I know exactly what the outfits look like and collaborate on ideas. Then as I was getting ready for bed, my amazing friend Katie randomly sent me a video call in iChat. It was nice getting to catch up with her while she was bored and wanting to chat. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s shoot with Gabriella and then party at with DJ Skeet Skeet at Lumen.

Day 244 - Good Fortune

Well today was a nice day of getting to sleep in and have some rest. I met up with Fernando to work out some stuff on our script we are writing. While out having some sushi I ran into an old friend from high school, which was weird. I spent most of my day catching up on work and getting some things organized. When it came time for dinner I went out with Zar, Rey and Monica for Rey’s birthday. While there I got probably one of the best fortune messages I could get for the moment I’m at in my life. I just need to stay busy and focus.

Day 243 - Another Night With The Dead

Well today was kind of a weird day for me. I found out that I was on IMdB for Gone Hollywood, so now I finally accomplished one of my goals. I wasn’t ready for the filming of Scavenger’s to come to an end. I have been learning so much and having such a great time with everyone that is a part of the film. I started my day with Demetrius and Erlinda for a nice lunch and talked about a lot of things. We made it on set in Elsa for a few scenes needed. Then headed out to the cemetery for a few more pick ups to finish and have a picture wrap. It was really weird to have to tell everyone goodbye, we had become a dysfunctional family in these past few weeks. Where one road ends, another begins though and I’m already working on a feature with my partner in crime, Fernando. Till then it looks like I get some rest and head back to Valley Photo next week.

Day 242 - Blue Devils vs Cardinals

Well today was definitely different than most of my days, specially on set. A few of us headed out to do a few pic up scenes for Gone Hollywood since Fernando was in town. We finished them so quick that we headed out for a nice lunch with a ton of laughs and great food. We lost track of time and got to our location for the Scavenger shoot a little late. I started to snap away and it was strange to just fall into the groove and feel as if I was back in high school taking Friday night pictures for yearbook. I had a great time with all the cast and crew while out there and even got to be a blur in the background. I can’t believe tomorrow is our last day of filming….

Day 241 - A Friend Returns

Today was a nice Sunday hanging around on set. We started out working on a few things in the green room to get some scenes done. That allowed me to work on pictures and get things a little organized on my external hard drives. When we changed spots to start filming a new location, I managed to catch a shot of Andrea in the sunset. The last film she was an actress but on this film she has been helping out with the talent. We got a surprise visit to have our buddy Fernando Carrillo on set to do a little cameo in the film. The day was long, but I managed to get home just in time to catch a late showing of Entourage and True Blood.
